my experience with the pinnacle bosses

shaper = holy shit, its quite fast paced. but ultimately its a bullet hell.
i honestly play ARPGs to avoid playing bullet hell games. i was so surprised when zana no longer provided protection from the bullet hell. projectiles.... everywhere. everything is hectic. fighting shaper with one clone was hectic enough but this is.... simply undoable for me at least. sirus = i was expecting something more doable as i m more used to fighting sirus. i was caught off guard by his apparition summon void zones right in the middle of the arena. its interesting but i really hate having the arena cut smaller when the boss can be on the opposite side of the screen. the game has to zoom out more for this to be more balanced. also with so many things going on i often lose track of it. i also died a few times when the dot arena spawned at might feet while wailing on sirus. i didnt realize and just had my hp sucked out quickly. eater of worlds = the way he spawns tentacles is interesting. but i can never fight him long enough to see what else he does. once he charges up his beam attack. i cant ever seem to dodge it. try to time a dash? dies. try to tank via molten shell? dies. try to quicksilver and run circles? dies. seriously wtf. all in all, i have resigned my fate. i dont think i ll ever be mechanically good enough to do these bosses. i m getting old. too much things on screen to consider. i m not good at bullet hell games nor strategy games nor memory games but it seems that this is where poe seems to be headed. intersecting with many different genres that i purposely went to arpgs to avoid. i personally feel that ggg really has discarded all notion of love towards strike skills where players have to punch an enemy right in their face. 2 hand strike even worse. everything favours kiting and aoe and attack speed. one guy recently posted a vid of him killing uber elder+shaper below level 30. very impressive. one thing i took not is his skill allows him to kite and be mobile. damage is somewhat constant. strikes actively require you to get in range near the enemy and stop running around to deal damage. despite that the one saving grace regarding the pinnacle bosses is that they do not gate any permanent player bonuses. the caveat is players will now stop running the regular versions and sell the fragments to better players who in turn sell the end game loot. at the very least its a player driven economy. its 100x better than just buying carries. as of now onwards. i have already analyzed the situation. i have accepted that i will likely never complete any of these uber boss fights as they are in my lifetime. i will play the way GGG intended it, selling my fragment sets to players and buying the end tier loot from them. As another old fart (63) with arthritis in my hands, I agree with you. I have given up on even thinking that I could do 40/40 challenges, and nowadays I have my own ingame goals. As long as I get my own goals done, then I am happy.
