Raise Zombie doesn't work

I hope it's not something stupid on my part, but Raise Zombie does not work for me. I have more than enough mana and it's not disabled in the skillbar. I tried moving it to different pieces of equipment and different hotkeys and I even closed and restarted the game, but it still does nothing. Other skills like Fireball work fine. Am I missing something?
