High quality textures not loading in on launch

Windows 11 pro/ 32gb memory/ 3090 gpu (driver version 512.15)/ dxdiag "No problems found."

As seen above, every time I launch the game all textures are displayed in medium quality even when high quality is the selected setting - after going into the setting and switching it to medium and back to high it loads in correctly... but after another relaunch it goes back to displaying medium.

Obviously not a high priority bug but may have other consequences behind the scene that might be worth looking into, not to mention having pretty high quality textures being viewable without a bothersome manual fix each game launch.

Fair call, i just wouldn't be surprised by some random windows 11 auto-optimisation feature tbh although I can't seem to find anything along those lines so that probs isn't the case. Hopefully someone from GGG can check over this at some point~

Same problem for me. Also medium textures is now way worse then before (i always played on medium but now it feels like i'm in a year 2005). Idk what happened, bug after DX12 implementation?
This happens to me as well, and it seems to be an issue with DX12. If I toggle the textures to medium and back to high once then it fixes the issue for that gameplay session. However, the issue reappears after exiting relaunching the game. I do not experience this issue with any other renderer.

Good to know, guess its just a dx12 thing, hopefully they'll figure out why its doing it - dx12 is still in beta testing afterall.

Cheers for basically confirming the issue and letting me know i wasn't just going crazy and had a super niche issue.

May even go back to vulken for now then i guess, never really had any issues with it, but dx12 does seem like it might perform slightly better.
