installation questions. changing directory and space required

Is there no way to specify what directory this game goes in? Or is it just trying to download a temp then give me an install.

either way I only have 10gb free on my os partition and it won't install

wow I see it actually filled up my hd I have 6 mb free now lol wtf where are the temp files it downloaded. great now I have to figure this out.


How much room does this game need, been needing to expand my os partition anyway. Course I need to add another hd, got over a TB filled up with games and movies lol

oh also, will this game run on on a 150/kb connection? cause thats all I got out in the boonies. D3 runs fine.

1. you can specify the location when you install.

2.game needs 8 gig i think.

so it needs 8gb for a temp file to install then another 8gb where u can specify installation.

150kb is dsl and that's only been around a few years here and is the best there is, HERE.

maybe im not using my terms right but that would be compared to 5k/sec on dialup, or 2000 on the fastest internet (comcast) that is available in the city.


oh I see the E for edit now, its just a wierd layout to me, too in game like instead of a real forum.

theyre, made 40gb free on my OS partition. it says 5.6gb download now. I'm 2% at 160kb/sec avg :(

maybe by tonight i can play lol

wow I came back in and it had dled around a gb and timed out...

I HOPE THIS GAME IS SMART ENOUGH TO RESUME FROM WHERE IT WAS!

otherwise I might not even be able to dl this due to poor installer.

is there a torrent or just plain game installer file to dl somewhere? something that resumes if the net gets dropped...


Would I be able to download the installer at a friends and bring the files back to my pc to install?

You can change the install directory using the installer. If you need to move it to a different machine/directory do this:

1. Back up the installer, and the Content.ggpk file from the installed directory to somewhere safe.

2. Run the installer again and specify where you want it to be now.

3. Copy the content.ggpk file into the new directory.

4. Run the launcher

It will spend some time verifying the content file (depending on your machine, it could be a lot of time,) possibly download some small patches, and then fire right up.

EDIT: Also the game is totally smart enough to resume where it left off. It starts back over at 0%, but thats 0% of whats left to download, what you already downloaded is still there man, worry not.

Yes I see, it started at 0% of 4.6gb because it already got the 1gb.

thanks though lol. I just hate this crappy internet I used to have comcast 2mb....
