Over-levelled, how do i avoid it

Got to level 95, not dropping anything good, no conqueror maps etc. What strategy should I use?
Did a lot of delving and it grants loads of experience. Should I just map and ignore delve/heist etc?

So.. what's the issue here? You don't get loot penalties for being 'over-levelled' (though you do get experience penalties depending on the relative area level). What would you count as 'good'?

Conquerer maps, for example, have perhaps a 1/50 chance of dropping when you kill a map boss. If you're doing a lot of delve then it's understandable that you haven't dropped many.

PoE is a game with so much content - you can pursue whatever league mechanics you want. There is no 'right' way to play the game.

You will have to expand on your question a little bit. What things do you enjoy? What mechanics do you need a strategy for?
As long as you enjoy the content, who cares if its not profitable. Each content have their own monetization. As above conqueror map drop chance is small. But if i have to say about mapping. Personally T16 Altar farm is better than T16 10 boss invitation farming.
Overlevel in Path of Exile is real, but it's limited to Act playthrough. You start having loot penalties when you are at least 3 levels above monsters, and it will give you x% Reduced Rarity of Item Found, where X is (your level - monster level + 2)*2.5.
However, for the sake of that formula, "your level" can never be above 68. So, you have the same chance at dropping an Exalted in a white T1 map regardless if you are level 68 or level 100. On the other side, you are not rewarded for being under-levelled when fighting in areas above you - just PoE masochism.

So, no, you are just unlucky, and your level is not at fault. If any, your level helps you by giving you more skillpoints, thus more survivability/DPS, thus increasing your Map-per-Hours rateo, which means more dice rolls and more chance for something valuable to drop.

That said, for the sake of completition, GGG introduced a Vendor Recipe exactly for those who need to farm certain Act areas (since the original reason, Emperor Jewel ladders, is no longer a thing). Just turn 1 Orb of Scouring and 1 Scroll of Wisdom to any vendor to get a Book of Regression, which will reduce your level by 1 and will take away 1 of your Skill Points (you must have an unassigned Skill Points in order to use a Book of Regression). This is also how, in new events, players can trigger the announcement "Player X is the first character to reach Level 1"
Hi,
Thanks for your comments, starting to understand now after a few hours of mapping produced some shaper maps and exarch items, just have to plug away!
I know this is an old thread, but it does show up when searching for "over leveled".

For completion's sake: The vendor recipe for the book of regression (1x scouring + 1 wisdom) was removed from the game. Probably because it allowed for infinite vendor refreshed for vendors that refresh on level-up (like Heist).
