CWTD ward loop questions
Hi,
I started this build as I see many play it and it looks super fun. I have all the gear and gems for the guide I followed,however, I am stuck I cant even start the loop and I dont really know what or where to look for the mistake I have made, since its not starting. Could someone help me with this build just to get it going? I got skellies down to 100% I think by having 3 20% gems, minion speed 40% so 60+40=100. I have a 21 cast on damage taken. You want your skeleton duration to be long enough so that their death is after the cooldown imposed by CwDT has expired, not instantly.
Most CwDT builds seem to get 27% increased cooldown recovery rate in order to push the effective CwDT cooldown to 198 ms and adjust the skeleton duration accordingly. For references and explanations regarding cooldown mechanics, check out my reddit post on the subject. You will also want to increase the damage you take from Heartbound Loop. I believe the appropriate catalysts are Noxious ones due to the physical tag of the mod, but someone can correct me regarding that. If you want to summon 4 skeletons at the same time, the gem needs to be level 21. So with 4 skeletons at 420 damage (with the upgraded Heartbound Loop), the maximum damage you would want your Forbidden Rite to require to trigger is 1680, which means the CwDT gem needs to be level 12 at most. Depending on whether or not you can get quality for the ring and a level 21 Summon Skeleton gem, it might have to be even lower. Because your ward is still on the low side, you are going to take a significant amount of damage to your life whenever Forbidden Rite is triggered. In the long term this is not necessarily a problem because you can sustain it with recoup (in which you should invest more than one point by the way, you will almost definitely need at least the full 30% from pathing all the way to Infused Flesh). However, until your recoup charges up to its full potential, Forbidden Rite will kill you faster than you recover. You even have more life than most other CwDT builds that I have looked at, so Forbidden Rite deals even more damage to you. At higher levels of investment that will allow you to use level 21 CwDT gems more easily, but at your current investment it is a concern for your survivability. And finally, if PoB is correct, your Olroth's Resolve will run out after 405 seconds without gaining flask charges from other sources than automatic generation. |
