Scorch - Can you overcap resistances to negate?
I've noticed some people overcapping resistances to compensate for scorch (Simulacrum), but I suspect this is misguided (due to limited wording of scorch).
Does anyone know definitively? Is ailment immunity the only way to deal with scorch or can you simply overcap your resists (by 30), or is this one of those PoE things that no one really knows? Last edited by rapind#7028 on Mar 29, 2022, 1:36:17 AM Last bumped on Mar 29, 2022, 9:23:18 AM

Pretty sure you just overcap your resistance, it functions the same as a curse and you can overcap to deal with those.

Scorch lowers your EleRes (as in, -x% to All Elemental Resistances), it doesn't Reduce them (as in, x% Reduced Elemental Resistances).
So, yes, just overcap them and you are good to go. |
