Some delirium questions

Does adding additional layers of delirium to a deli map increase pack size or anything like that? If I'm just using them for more monsters to spawn beyond portals with, is 20% good enough?

About how much delirium is in effect near the end of a map with a deli mirror? I ask because I start to get wrecked near the end of a crimson temple (after 3 incursions, 3 breaches, 4 rituals, and a legion encounter to extend the timer) and am wondering about how high of delirium this translates to (NOTE: this is WITH the atlas passive that increases delirium gain with distance from the mirror). That way I can determine whether I'm ready for a simulacrum or 100% deli map.

As far as I am aware, additional layers of Delirium beyond the first do not add additional monsters, only quantity, rarity, damage, mitigation, and obviously an extra reward.

The exact severity of dynamic Delirium is harder to pinpoint and is highly dependent on the area layout.

So far I have not seen a list of the maximum Delirium per map.

It might be possible to analyse it based on time-to-kill for the boss at the end of the map, but you would need the exact information of all applying modifiers as well as a build that has a reliably measurable time-to-kill in the first place.

This reddit post contains the results of some testing for the static Delirium layer modifiers. So you can divide the regular HP of the boss (accounting for modifiers) by the product of your dps and time-to-kill to see how much damage mitigation was provided by Delirium. If you want the exact "less damage taken" modifier, subtract that result from 1.

The ideal case would be having both a reliable time-to-kill and a second build that has as close to the same time-to-kill as possible without Delirium and then compare their dps instead, but that would take significantly more effort to set up.
Hrm. I suppose I can make guesses based on the deli maps I have... I just did a 60% one and it was much easier than some of the stuff I see near the end of maps with mirrors. According to that link, delirium defenses on enemies scales exponentially (as going from 0-20% damage reduction is a far lesser deal than going from 80-96% damage reduction), so my guess would be I'm hitting ~90% delirium values when I start to have trouble.

So still not good enough for a simulacrum or 100% deli map.

I would rate in terms of difficulty from easiest to hardest delirium

1) Mirror, regardless of distance (about as easy as a 20-40% delirious map)
2) % delirious maps, up to t16 100%
3) Simulacrum up to Wave 20. Wave 20 is technically the same as t16 100% BUT the monsters are way more concentrated so I rank it harder.
4) 100% delirious t16 fully decked out with extra monsters. Same density or higher density as Wave 20 in a simulacrum except for a full map.
5) Sim 21-30, they just have so much goddamn life and ailments are a real struggle without full immunity

I spec'd out of the increased delirium from mirror distance atlas passive and it's been smooth sailing for the most part. Haven't had trouble with being overwhelmed since. Benevolent guardians and immortal totems have given me a bit of trouble as I'm using a chaining skill rather than a target unlimited aoe, but that's it.

I think I'll still steer clear of 100% deli maps or 20+ simulacrums until I significantly increase my dps though. Can't *entirely* rely on my headhunter giving me OP stuff like soul eater.
