Skin of the Loyal to Skin of the Lords conversion question

When upgrading Skin of the Loyal to Skin of the Lords using a Chayula breachstone

1. Does it upgrade from +1 to +2 for socketed gems, or does the Skin of the Loyal have to have the +2 already on it ?

2. If the Skin of the Loyal has all whites sockets, are the 6W and 6L preserved or do the colours and links change (see several white socket Skin of the Loyal but no white socket Skin of the Lords)

the 6link will stay. however, you cannot have white sockets on skin of the lords.

reason: 'sockets cannot be modified' prevents things like harvest/vorici from making white sockets on skin of the loyal. the **ONLY** way to get white sockets on skin of the loyal, is with a vaal orb / locus of corruption. these, obviously, corrupt the item. Once corrupted, you can no longer upgrade it with a blessing.



skin of the loyal always has +1 gems. skin of the lords always has +2.

Thanks for that info ! The other question is, do gems have to be corrupted versions for Skin of the Loyal or is that only for Skin of the Lords ?

I have a non corrupted skin of the loyal 6W socket. It dropped that way from maybe a white socket conversion mod. I’m still interested to know if it’ll keep its white sockets if I hit it with a blessing.

Yes the sockets colour won't be changed.
