Does Critical improve Impale?

I am a bit confused by Impale. So when it happens, the next 5 hits get bonus right? What if you score another Impale during those 5 hits? It restarts?

Does high critical damage makes this better assuming you score an Impale on a high critical hit?

Yep, critical affects impale because it snaps the final damage of the hit before mitigation on target side.
Awesome. But does second impale over write the first one or it just keeps stacking up? I don't want to have too high impale chance if they over slap?

Impales not only stack but compound their damage, which means that armour will be less effective against them if you have several stacks.

How many impale stacks you can have on an enemy is limited by your chance to impale and the number of hits those impales last, since each hit will consume one impale from each stack on the enemy, even if it adds another impale stack.

If you invest into impale, you generally want to have 100% chance to impale to make most of your investment into physical damage, overwhelm, and impale effect.
So, tell me understand more.

If I cause Impale, do my minions or Savior shadows benefit from my impale effect? It says Impale lasts 5 hits.

I do a lot more damage than my Saviour shadow (but I have two of them).

You and your mirage saviours will both impale and benefit from the impale effect. Mirage saviours use your skills, so they benefit from your stats.

The compounded damage per impale "consumption" will be slightly lower than without The Saviour because the weaker impales from the mirage saviours will be mixed in, but it should be fairly simple to make those impales overwhelm the enemy physical damage reduction either way.

Note that this does not mean that you actually lose raw damage from your impales. They are still consumed entirely. I will repeat it for emphasis, but with enough overwhelm, the value of the compounded damage of the impale stacks on an enemy that is consumed per hit does not matter.
Thanks for the response. Another question. I see Watcher's Eye has Impale last two more hits. Is this important to get or there are better options for Impaler?
Impale is a debuff on the target where the next 5 hits, or 7 in the case of the Watcher's Eye mod, deals damage. Upgrading from 5 to 7 hits makes Impale deal 40% more damage total. Because it's a debuff on the target, you do not need to be the one who hits in order to trigger the damage. Any party member or ally who hits will trigger the damage, and the damage will still have been based off of your application.
I have stone Golems.
But I doubt about incr crit dmg or impale.
My six link at the moment.

Stone Golem - Multistrike - Brutality - Melee Physical dmg - Minion dmg - incr crit dmg.
