Need crafting Advice for Phys Swords

Hey everyone,

i would like to craft some decent one handed phys swords for example Frost Blades. i would really appreciate some advices for the process so a nice result.

I started to got for Alterations to hit for example two good t1 mods like:
- increased phy
- hybrid phy
- flat phy
- attack speed

and maybe multimod it later?

Are there any good influenced to keep an eye on? Maybe to use a maven Orb?

I appreciate any help :)

if you want a pure phys sword, you do not want any influence on it. those mods just get in the way.

theres no reason to get 'socketed gems are supported by x', because it still just makes a 4 or 5 link if you get 2 of them. you dont need another 5 link, you need raw dps.

your current sword has tier4 attack speed and tier3 flat phys. not good enough at all.

if you want to alt spam, find an ilvl 83 (exactly 83) jewelled foil.

if you want to try essences:


find an 83+ foil with a fractured mod. high tier % phys, hybrid phys, or flat phys. then spam essences.



you can also take the fractured sword and spam harvest 'reforge with phys mods'

Annul orb is your friend. With one or a few you can easily make a gg sword by getting one that's close to perfect but like 1 stat off an annul it. Sure it might take a few try's but its by far the cheapest crafting technique for a gg phys sword imo.

I do this with wands also when I make a phys wander. Plenty of people list swords/wands with 170+ phys and 5=6 mods missing like one stat like attack speed for dirt cheap.

If you are playing Frost Blades, the Gain Phys as Cold is a good mod and so Shaper influence isn't the worst idea. It also makes it a little easier to get %phys due to the hybrid mods.

I would go with essence spamming, with either Zeal or Contempt. Hit two or three other good mods, annull if need be, and multicraft :)

After a lot of Essences i just got this one, not sure if its good enough or how to continue.

2 options with that sword:

1 - craft crit chance and be done. youll have 460 pdps with good crit.

2 - multimod, crit chance, and then your choice of Elemental Damage prefix, depending on build:

flat cold (frost blades)
flat lightning (lightning strike)
attacks penetrate ele resist (any ele attack)
Hits Cant Be Evaded (any attack skill)


i would stay away from the % increased cold/lightning mods, because they'll be much worse than the flat mods on this type of weapon.
