Profane Bloom doesn't work on certain hexproof monsters
|
So this is a bug regarding the acclaimed hexproof-affecting ascendancy "Profane Bloom" by the Occultist. Whether this bug also exists alongside Cospri's Will, I don't know (haven't tested it).
As the title already suggests, the ascendancy notable seems to work in the case when monsters already spawned initially, like when entering a map with the hexproof modifier. However, optional opponents such as Archnemesis monsters or certain map bosses occasionally are hexproof despite the overwriting nature of Profane Bloom. This bug also occurs with hexproof rares that were spawned after the initial loop (like influence-based monsters). Here's an example: ![]() This image shows that there are 4 locked hexes on that boss. All three boss monsters showed this visual effect. And before anyone says "it's just visual" - no, both the damage dealt to me as well as to the bosses felt sluggy. The 4 curses in this particular image are Despair, Punishment, Temporal Chains, and Enfeeble applied by an Occultist with a heavy investment into curse effect. This bug seemed to exist since the very beginning of the league and I thought someone already reported this before me (I haven't checked whether there are previous notions regarding this). But either no one did or this bug didn't receive enough priority to be fixed in the previous bug-fix circles. I'm looking forward to a fix that is still in time. Friendly reminder that it still doesn't work occasionally.

Good luck getting anyone to reply and/or care. Look at the bug reports and suggestions, GGG is not active or at least doesn't display that they care.

" This is in the known issues so its at least the on their radar. And they do read every thread here even if they dont reply to the vast majority. Most of the threads are false bug reports anyway that get resolved on their own. |
|
" They don't show any representation in the forums, period. Stop promoting/enabling their bad behavior. The posts they reply to are in regards to MTX transaction issues, mainly. A little effort goes a long way in showing you actually care. Even if bug reports "go away on their own", just a message here n there will show they're reading, watching, and hopefully listening. BUT... that is not clear. Their actions or rather lack thereof, show quite the opposite. Again, I get you can't answer all the bug reports because lets face it, it's riddled with problems. (Games that are run/operated like this get 5 more problems for every 1 that they fix) You should still have some presence and/or official representation. It leaves an awful taste when you constantly see crickets in the replies... |

This is the bug report forum. This isnt exactly where I would go to get an interaction with the company. But thats just me.
I am not trying to promote/enable 'bad behavior' but am just being realistic. If GGG interaction is what someone really wants I suggest the help and information forum. Literally every thread there has a reply. |

You wouldn't expect interaction of bug forum or suggestion forum? What?
You 100% miss what I'm saying.. just nvm.. |

You are twisting my words. I never said anything about the suggestion forum. And no I (again speaking for myself here) do not expect interaction on a bug report forum. I know exactly what you mean and I just disagree.
I would expect interaction on a forum like help and info where people are inquiring about banned accounts and other serious account issues. If you want to say that GGG favoring reddit over general discussion, gameplay help or feedback and suggestions is bad (or just the lack of posting in those places in general) then I 100% agree with you. Lack of interaction in the bug report forum is not the hill I would die on. |
