Chat size

Hi,
i wanna suggest you to add possibility to change size of chat font and chat window. Also movable window would be good.
It's a bit annoying, because i play in 1600x1200 and chat takes almost 50% of my screen.

Cheers

I agree with this.

A option to change the size of the chat screen would be great.

Yes, this is problem too.
Definitely, at least put it under any other windows that we open.
I want a few changes to the chat window:

- Scaleable chat-size. We should be able to set it directly in teh chat-bar too, and not have to go to Options to set it.

- Chat-window transparency level. For many people, having an almost invisible chat-window is fine. But I really want to at least have the option to make the background a solid color of my choice. Or just black, that works too. The reason is some backgrounds make the font hard to read. It's like the cursor. A light-brown cursor on light-brown sand is not a good idea. A bright red curson on light-brown sand is much better. It's ugly, yes, but at least I can easily see it. That should be more important that looks.

- Resizeable chat-window. Right now it takes up a third of the screen. I fully expect it to be smaller by OP, but 'smaller' isn't enough. Some play on small screens, some play on big screens. The bigger the screen, the bigger the font has to be to be readable. But a bigger font on a small screen is just wrong. True, resizing the actual font will help, but the chat window is still too big.

- Moveable chat-window (and UI in general). I'm used to have the chat-window in the lower right of my screen, not half way up there. Also, I have a few ways I want to have my UI, like th character portait in the top left of the screen, the party below my picture and so on. All this can easily be taken care off with a UI we can change as we want.

- Hide various parts of the UI with hotkeys. So far I've seen two variations of hiding the UI. Either we hide the entire thing all at once, of we first hide everything except the hotbar and a few other things, then hide everything with a second button press. But why not let us decide for ourselves what to hide? It could be quite simple: Under Options - Keyboard, we could have all the components of the UI listed with three button assignments each. That way we could assign up to three different keys that will hide the things we want. Let's say you mark the character portrait with the keys A, B and C, you mark the hotbar with the keys B and C, and then the minimap with the C key. That way you can hide only the character portait by pressing A, you can hide the character portait and the hotbar by pressing B, or hide all three by pressing C. A keyboard has 104 or so keys, so there's plenty of keys left for this. :)
