To summarize if you don't want to read:

You can't help "all" the Bandits. You can either choose to kill them all (thus "helping" Eramir), or help one of them and kill the other two.

You can always change this choice by vendoring 20 Regret Orbs and a Jade/Amber/Lapis/Onyx amulet for a special Book that can change your Bandit bonus. This way you can, for example, Help Alira then, when you reach Endgame, respec your Bandit choice with Eramir, thus counting as having helped Eramir (and losing all bonus from Helping Alira) and gaining 2 Passive Skill points.
Be wary that while you can always change Bandit-to-Eramir, changing Eramir-to-Bandit requires you to have 2 Passive Skill Tree unallocated, which will be lost once you choose which bandit to help with the Book

If you manage to help all of the three bandits, either "naturally" or with the Book recipes, with one or more characters in any League will award you the "Traitor" Achievement

Seems like now you can't "help everyone".

After you visit all 3 and choose to help them, nothing happens.
So nobody can get this achievement anymore

The achievement can be accomplished by using 3 different characters. That's how I did it years ago too.

I do not and will not use TFT.

Ah that what it meant!
It surprises me that you can do it on separate chars one by one :D
So it should be possible in 1 char also through vendor recipe.

Thank you for telling me that option!

Actually, I believe in the 1 year of age this thread has, GGG has barred the player to get a Book of Reform in a recent patch. Looks like they were tired of people helping Alira in the early game then regretting for Eramir.

Careful at who you help in Act 2 from now on. There's no turning back
