Turn Rare item into Magic?
Say I've got an item with 1 mod I want. I can isolate it with annuls/etc, but it's still considered "rare" even if there's only 1 mod on it. I want to get it to magic so I can imprint it with beastcrafting... is there any way?
I use to use splits for this but the split tag makes the item unable to be imprinted. Украина в моём сердце Last edited by kaijyuu2#0256 on Mar 6, 2022, 9:14:01 AM Last bumped on Mar 6, 2022, 11:20:06 PM

Craft suffix or prefix cannot be changed depends on what type of affix your desired mod is. Then use a scouring orb.

That will still result in a rare.
AFAIK only fractured items will turn magic after a scour. EDIT: Nevermind...? Just tested in standard and it resulted in a magic item? Could've sworn I tested it some time ago and it still resulted in a rare. Did this change or am I just misremembering? Украина в моём сердце Last edited by kaijyuu2#0256 on Mar 6, 2022, 10:32:08 AM

annuls will always keep the item rare. you can end up with a 0 mod rare this way.
the "X cannot change + Scour" method, IF you end up with 1 mod item, will turn it magic. its expensive tho. |

"It's been always working like that or at least since 2015-2016. |
