Maim support on Chaos Golem

Does it give my chaos golem the chance to maim on hit ?

I'm asking because of the wording on Maim support : "Supported Attacks have 30% chance to Maim on Hit".

The chaos golem sure does attacks (and it gets the little "m" icon from the support), but the skill gem itself is *not* an attack, nor does it have the "attack" tag... so now I'm doubting, and can't think of a reliable way to test it.

yes it will work with minion attacks

chaos golem is not optimal for this though. according to wiki, only one of his skills is an attack

edit: minions are different entities with their own skills. support gems actually care about the skills minions are using. the tags of the gem you can see refer to your summon golem spell, which is a spell that summons a minion.

Ah well, I can only put it on a Chaos Golem or a Lightning Golem, and the later doesn't even have an attack.

I'm happy to know it works on the Chaos Golem's attacks, should proc on long boss fights, considering the other skills it uses have a cooldown.
