Harvest Resistance Swap no longer swaps +X% Maximum Resistance modifiers

Using Harvest resistance swaps "Change a modifier that grants X resistance into a similar-tier modifier that grants Y resistance" no longer converts between '+a% to maximum cold/fire/lightning resistance' modifiers. I believe this is a bug because when the harvest craft is used, the error message is 'There are no valid Mods for this craft on this item'. If the harvest craft were incompatible with maximum resistance modifiers, the error message should be 'Item has no modifiers of the specified type'. Another reference that makes me believe this is a bug is from poedb.tw. However, I was reluctant to include this in the main post as this is from a third party site.
https://poedb.tw/us/Harvest_league#ModEquivalencies This page lists all the possible modifiers that can be swapped with Harvest Resist swaps. Other less known modifiers that are valid for swapping like incursion modifiers and cluster jewel modifiers are listed here along with maximum resistance modifiers. Harvest craft says "Change a modifier that grants X resistance", "+% to max resistance" doesn't grant resistance

Again, the reason I believe this is a not expected behavior is because of the error message that shows up you use the harvest craft on an item with a maximum resistance modifier.
When you attempt to swap resistance on an item with no resistance modifiers, which would be an item with no valid modifiers for the harvest resistance swap, the error message received is "Item has no modifiers of the specified type" When you attempt to swap resistance from X to Y on an item with BOTH X and Y modifiers, which means that the item's resistance modifiers cannot be converted from X to Y, the error message received is "There are no valid Mods for this craft on this item". If it were the case that maximum resistance is incompatible with resistance swap harvest craft, the correct error message should be "Item has no modifiers of the specified type" as the item would not have any modifiers of the specified type for the craft similar to the case where you attempt to harvest craft resistance swap on an item with no resistance modifiers. However, the error message we receive is "There are no valid Mods for this craft on this item", which means that the harvest craft recognizes maximum resistance modifiers as valid for the craft, but it is unable to resolve the craft akin to the case where you attempt to swap cold to lightning on an item with both existing cold and lightning resistance modifiers on it. Therefore, either the error message is incorrect or the functionality of the craft is. The error message is "Item has no modifiers of the specified type" not "There are no valid Mods for this craft on this item". Which indicates an inconsistency with Maximum resistance modifiers and harvest resistance swaps 2) The problem with the error messages is not referencing poedb at all. I also literally acknowledge that poedb is a third party website, which is why I didnt include it in the main post. I would like to encourage you to read the post. |
