100% maps to drop 1 tier higher
|
Hey GGG
You may want to look at the atlas passive points and make sure they are all working. I have all the points allocated to make sure I have 100% maps to drop 1 tier higher but im in tier 1 maps and tier 1 maps are still dropping. Then i move on to tier 2 and 3 maps and Tier 1 maps are still dropping.... This isnt supposed to happen. And if it is, then you need to be rewording what the atlas points say to make sense. Im not the best player and I work full time so I dont have the time like others to play 10 hours a day to progress fast. So i put all my points in to make sure my maps drop higher tiers and now they arent. This is very annoying. Last bumped on Feb 23, 2022, 1:11:59 PM

Tier 1 maps can ALWAYS drop, no matter what. Map drops do not work the way you think they do.
Atlas passives are working just fine. This is worth the read: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Atlas_of_Worlds This isn't a bug. For a simpleton like me, it makes no sense at all. I dont want to study for a game, I just want to play the game. And inside the game I want to play it states that my maps have 100% chance to drop 1 tier higher. There are no Tier 0 maps so tier 1 maps should not be able to drop. To me, a simpleton that doesnt want to read hours online just to play a game, this makes no sense that tier 1 maps are dropping. To me, that means its not 100% chance for higher tiers.
So this is where ggg need to change the way it is worded in game so it makes more sense. If tier 1 can drop then dont make it add to 100%. |

If you want something changed, then post in the feedback forum.
Again, this isn't a bug. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning."

It certainly is a bug. The fact that the wording of the atlas passive should also be changed is something else.
Because while it's true that tier 1 drops can naturally drop, it's also true that if a tier 1 map were to naturally drop, the atlas passive says that with a 100% chance to increase all map tiers, a tier 1 map will become tier 2. Now, on the flipside, and further proof that the wording of the atlas passive should also be changed, it's not possible for a natural tier 16 map to become a tier 17 map, simply because tier 17 maps don't exist. So, at the very least, the atlas passive wording should add "where possible." But while pointing to the wiki is suggestive, it's certainly not "proof." In fact, one of the references on the wiki article says "confirmation needed." Further, the section on equity is talking about withholding lower-tier maps 3 times in order to eventually produce a single higher-tier map. That's not what's being reported here. If it were, no tier 1 maps would be dropped at all, but only a less common tier 2 map. However, that's not what's happening. If a tier 1 map is being dropped at all when the atlas passive is selected, then it's a bug in the equity system, a bug in the atlas passive, or both. Because if you are to believe the wiki article about equity, this specific scenario should not be happening. And even that isn't quite right. Because equity only comes into play when there is no base map of that tier. There are base 1 maps. So, equity isn't really part of this anyway, leaving only a bug with the atlas passive mechanic. " It most certainly should be a bug. There is no such thing as a Tier 0 map. With 100% chance for maps to drop 1 Tier higher, it should be impossible for a Tier 1 map to drop. Playing in maps with 100% chance, when the game drops a map, the game should roll the tier, add 1 (barring already being tier 16), and then choose a map for the resulting tier. Period. Not doing so, is a bug, which should be fixed. Last edited by Galtrovan#5344 on Feb 23, 2022, 1:12:27 PM
