PSA: Atlas mechanics are capped!

"
Every map can contain a limited number of mechanics. Mechanics include things like Master spawns (Einhar, Alva, Niko), Archnemesis, Harvest, Delirium mirrors, Strongboxes, Shrines, Harbingers, Heist caches, etc. This cap is map specific and not visible to the player. Once a map reaches its mechanic limit it cannot spawn additional mechanics.

For example: You run a Dunes map. You select Harbingers from Kirac. You place a legion scarab, an ambush scarab, and a expedition scarab into the map device. You have spec'd into Harvest chance and Deli chance on your atlas. In this example you've surpassed the amount of mechanics a Dunes map is capable of supporting. There is a 0% chance of a master randomly spawning. Your deli and harvest Atlas points are wasted. They cannot spawn.

It's not a cap. It's a tileset limitation that has always existed. You were losing mobs this whole time if you were trying to pack Dungeons or Cells. If the game can't find anywhere to put the things, it will simply cull them.

People are just starting to realize this? This has been going on since they started adding crap. You used to be able to tell it when you loaded the area. There's only so much space you can cram stuff in.
I mean you could probably tell this back in the days of the OLD Masters.
This is news?

Thanks 009, this is really useful and can prevent a huge amount of waste.

I agree with Reddit poster, it sucks that mechanics you dont use are pushing out ones you really want.

It's not a tileset "limitation" it's an artificial cap based on potential enemy density. I've had 4 different league mechanics spawn on the same screen before within the range of a melee attack, everything can fit in a map without issue, GGG just wants to control max enemy density per map and not give us any representation of this. Smaller map layouts will restrict spawns so they aren't the obvious choice to run all the time, it's a hidden balancing mechanic.
