simu wave 30 dps and a quetions about dot dps.

Hi! Im theory crafting alot in PoB and i am want to craft my own build for simulacrum.
But i have 2 quetions for it, how much dps is needed for it to go smoth? And i have newer tried a dot build before, how dos 3m dot dps feel like compared to say a 15m lightning striker? My Bane Occultist did wave 30 last league. I had around 4MM Sirus dot DPS with Bane (no pots on, nothing checked in Config other than Sirus and 15 wither stacks). The damage is fine until they pull out +chaos res and -curse effect. If you get one of those, it's fine. If you get both, be prepared to spend 20 mins trying to kill Wave 25+ Kosis (you'll have like 100k dps tops haha). Most of what made my build work was that I was using Shadowstitch (so every bane that killed a bunch of guys pretty much instant healed my hp/es to full, which is super handy in simulacrum). I also had well over 9k eHP.
By the way, I don't know what your budget is but most self-cast dot builds are pretty expensive to scale this high. To give you an idea, I was the top guy in PoE Ninja for Bane dps for a pretty long while last league. My weapon and my chest were each worth well over 100ex. |

" Alright cool dude! :) 4m cleared smothly? I have build a wintertide brand cold dot with arround 4m shaper dps in POB with aegis gear etc so should be pretty tanky to. Badly rolled Kosis on waves 28+ can take a long time with 4m dps only. If possible you should really aim at 8+.
If you can comfortably tank everything and dont care much about time then sure, its good enough for start |

" Careful with Wintertide Brand. If you are measuring at 20 stacks, be aware you only have that dps for a fraction of a second. My 4MM was 100% uptime (this is why it compares well to non-dot that's over 10MM because you generally do not have 100% uptime on that damage). |

" Since we're talking about dot dps, very few things (EA ballistas and Assailum Snipe are two of the few I can think of) in the game have that kind of damage w/ 100% uptime. |
