Animate Guardian disappeared in my menagerie

Animate Guardian disappeared in my menagerie when i equip an item to it.
I equipped onto my Animate Guardian a Embalmer's Gloves corrupted with the curse enemies with elemental weakness on hit and the guardian disappeared and I can no longer summon it. I had about 5 exalts of gear on the guardian total. The chaos resistance of the guardian should not be high enough for fleshcrafter to kill it as it has no chaos res in other slots. I attempted to cast the spell on a victario's flight boots to see ig the guardian would appear with just the boots and it did. does this mean my guardian has died and if so, what caused it to die?

a list of the gear on the guardian was:

Rare shaper influenced helmet with armor/es base and 0% chaos res
Doppleganger's Guise Chest Armour - 0% chaos res
Windscream boots - 0% chaos res
Kingmaker Depot Axe - 0% chaos res
Embalmer's Gloves - 24% chaos res.

The only other source of chaos res would be 9% from 1 Ghastly Eye Jewel and 10% from Dread March, making the total 43%

If Fleshcrafter is the only conversion taking place, the minion should still have 14% of its original health pre-conversion left. Can someone please explain to me where I've gone wrong so i can avoid it happening again, or if this is genuinely a bug; if it is a bug, is it possible to request reimbursement of the lost items? Thank you.

not a bug, minions have base resists.

just had same thing happen to me last guys died with same gear i was replacing with i was in tanes lab ressing him and soon as i did the gloves he went poof
