Questions regarding Multiboxing?
An old thread stated the following rules for multiboxing.
• No more than 2 clients can be run at the same time on one computer. • Anything more will need to be run on a separate PC in the room (i.e laptop on the side) • ‘VMWare' and other types of emulators for running more than 2 clients on a PC is not okay. • Absolutely no input mirroring allowed; each PC needs to be self-contained with its own mouse/keyboard etc inputs. Source: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3094855 -------------------------------------------- How would I go about running a second instance of path of exile? Scripting the second client to react to primary clients inputs is not allowed, correct? Has anyone had success multiboxing and legitimately playing both characters? Would I have to use split screen to play both? I'm not convinced I want to multibox, but I had an idea of using two mice for the input instead of MnK. Has anyone done this? Was it fun? At the very least with the standalone version (I do not know about steam) you can easily start two instances of the client simultaneously.
I have not tried it, though I would personally not recommend it unless you either have a very large screen or multiple. I am not aware of whether you can get several cursors if you want to play with two mice. As far as I know, most multiboxers (who do not just multibox to always be able to trade without leaving maps etc.) just build an aurabot character so they only have to follow their main character around rather than actively playing with several skills that require targeting or a rotation, so a second mouse is probably not necessary for that playstyle. |
