Eldritch Implicit for Increased Life Recovery Rate doesn't work with Pious Path

I've added the Eater of Worlds implicit "7% increased Life Recovery Rate" to my body armour, and have the Pious Path ascendancy node so that my life regeneration applies to my energy shield. However, when I look at my stats, I see that only my life regeneration appears to be affected. I would expect the value under "Life Regeneration per Second" to be equal to the "Energy Shield Regeneration per Second".
