PSA:- Archnemesis Mods are based on the Creature's mods - I tested it so you don't have to

"
Over the weekend I started to notice a trend of what Archnemesis mods dropped from what creature. At first I thought it was mob or zone type; cold areas drop cold items, or beasts dropped Berserker or Frenzied but I only recently realized what exactly was going on.

Its actually incredibly simple. Almost every creature in PoE has mods associated with it. You can see these mods by hovering over it and looking at its health bar, or after its dead by having a corpse targeting skill and holding the corpse targeting button. So I did a quick test, I ran several maps. I initially intended to run 25 to make sure I had enough data but after just 8 I was 100% certain. Lets see if you can spot the pattern:

Hasted -

Chaosweaver -

Vampiric -

Deadeye -

I chose specifically blue or white mobs to make this easier to spot but the same pattern works for rares.

Affixes are split into two types, which I'll just call inherent and special. Inherent mobs are always found on that sort of creature, for example you may notice that most Bandits or other humans in the game are chaos resistant, a lot of sirens are cold or all elemental resistant, etc. Special mods are gained by either being a magic, rare, or minion creature.

When an archnemesis mod would drop it first checks special mods to determine if there is one. If there is no special mods it will instead take one of the inherent mods. It will then check the tags associated with it (for example cold and resistance from a cold resistant mod) and then compare to the archnemesis mods. If there is a mod that matches it will drop that one (Frostweaver in this case).

What this means for you:-

I'm sure you've noticed but there are specific creatures that always have specific inherent mods, or very commonly have specific blue mods (leeches life shows up a lot on siren spawns for example, while deals additional physical shows up on bears or plummeting ursa a lot). Since Archnemesis mods can drop from all tiers of creature, not just rares, focusing your farming on these types of creatures will give you a higher chance of getting the mods you want. I haven't identified all of the tags just yet but here's what I have so far:

Certain:-

Damage Resist

Cold Permafrost

Fire Incendiary

Lightning Dynamo

Chaos Toxic

Physical Bonebreaker

Hasted - Haste Aura, Faster Casting

Deadeye - Accuracy

Bombardier - Extra Projectiles

Vampiric - Leech

Soul Conduit - Minion, Summons x, Spirit Walker

Overcharged - Any Charges

Malediction - Any curse

Arcane Buffer - Energy Shield, Grant Allies Energy Shield.

Maybe:-

Consecrator - Regeneration?

Opulent - Possibly Inner Treasure?

Sentinel - Armored? Block?

Bloodletter - Only seen on mobs with Puncture skill

Gargantuan - Extra Life?

Edit:- Some updates:-

Frenzied - Haste Aura, Faster Attacks

Sentinel - Blocks Spells and Attacks (Found on spectral pirates).

I can confirm I got Opulent off of a beastiary mob with Inner Treasure.
Opulent is rare, for sure. But I dropped two Opulents yesterday, and there was no Inner Treasure or Keepers of the Trove in sight. As a matter of fact, there weren't even any rare mobs around either one; I checked.

So, I'm not saying that Opulent doesn't drop from Inner Treasure, but it absolutely does not require it.

On the whole, though, I do believe that most of the information there holds pretty true to my experience too.

Yep, noticed casters drop the caster mods first, then found the rest of the pattern. Hard to use if you arent in Acts as you just kill everything in maps anyway.

i have never found a frenzied, wtf is up with this
Know where to find Bombardier - Extra Projectiles rare mobs?
Got 2 "Sentinel" from the scorpions in marshes map that are with "hexproof, gain endurance charges" mods. Might be that?
So which is the best map people have found for Vampiric? I am going nuts trying to get them...
There is no Haste aura for monster

the name of the mod is

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Speed_Aura

same for faster attack mod , despite most of the time you met with rare monster instead of magic
