Eater of Worlds and Searing Exarch progression in yellow maps not working

First, I ran two high yellow maps with the Eater of Worlds, the second of which was T10. The map device accepted the map tier, but the maps seemed to not contain anything out of the ordinary. However, now the map device indicates that I require red maps to run Eater of Worlds, so I assume some kind of progression did happen.

Then, I ran two Searing Exarch T10 maps. The first had various flaming visual effects but didn't seem to be spawning extra enemies or the like. The second one finally spawned extra enemies and had two of the circles offering two pro+con choices each, however only one was clickable and worked. The other just never responded to clicks or spawned anything. Now the Searing Exarch also requires red maps at the map device.

Edit: Eater of Worlds finally spawned the bonus circles and they worked at T11, and I finally got the message to defeat the boss and an invitation.
