Kaom's Roots extreme out-of-date

Is just me or Kaom's Roots "Action speed cannot be modified to below base value" could get some update?
The latest leagues GGG have been creating and including more and more "slow" modifiers for monsters and Kaom's still "stuck in the past", especially Grasping vines...
Should GGG take a look on Kaom's Roots since the last "change" was in the 2.6.0 patch?

Does vines slow me far below base speed, it is one of the main if not the main feature of the Juggernaut. Unwavering is a Keystone you get for free and 200 life on boots is higher than any rare boots could get. I'm not using it but I don't consider it "outdated".
I assume what this thread is about is that Kaom's Roots does not nullify the vines that prevent movement skills and it should be updated to do such?

If that's the case then I'd agree.

Not only that... some situations i have vines + poison pool(slow) + something else like Screech and my character actually freeze, the only way to move is "leaping out" and hope for something don't explode you in this proccess. As melee this kind of situation is very common.

The reason "vines, etc" aren't prevented by Kaom's Roots is because of the specific mod the boots have:

"ACTION SPEED cannot be modified..."

Temporal chains, chill, etc are action speed modifiers, because they apply a general slow to movement speed, attack speed, stun recovery, etc. It literally slows the game down for your character, for everything concerning player animations.

Vines don't slow your action speed, because you still have full attack and cast speed even if you're unable to move. This isn't new or unintended; tarred ground will ALSO slow players wearing Kaom's Roots, because it likewise affects movement speed directly instead of the character's overall action speed.

PoE is really nitpicky about these things. It's important to pay very careful attention to the specific words used for unique item mechanics or you'll end up assuming the item does something it was never intended to do.

Of course, you're technically correct. On the other hand, GGG could, if they wanted to, make Kaom's Roots or some new set of boots be take care of slowing and tarred ground, etc..

The Stampede does it, by fixing your Movement Speed to a fixed 150%, which bypasses pretty much any ground and ground-like effect that can slow you down. Combining it with a Juggernaut's "your action speed cannot be lowered below base speed" should allow you to keep rolling unless you got frozen.

We are now left to discuss about the comparison between a Blight-exclusive and a rare-ish drop
