Ambient sound transfers between areas

I took a town portal to Highgate (act 4), and used /hideout command once loading screen finished.
In the hideout, the waterfall/water wheel ambient sound from Highgate was audible from some point near the waypoint (and very loud).
The same sound remained in the menagerie, Tane's lab and labyrinth plaza, and when I took a waypoint to a random campaign area (a7 crossroads), I eventually found it in a random part of the area.
I tried visiting other towns (a7 and epilogue Oriath), but couldn't hear it anywhere. It returned when I was back in my hideout.

Edit: The sound remained after logging out and back in. Fixed itself after restarting the game. I easily reproduced it first time, but couldn't do it next time.

I have experienced this problem for the past several days before 3.17.0 was launched. It will affect specific league hideouts for me and can sometimes go away with restarting the game, but will later return again. Letting hideout instances timeout did not resolve the issue.

I haven't tried extensive troubleshooting to verify I don't have an issue on my side, but I can confirm that I had this same issue since before league launch.

The sounds that are being carried over and amplified appear to be things like the waypoint sound from town and roaring/crackling bonfires. They appeared in the vicinity of the default waypoint location in the Cartographer hideout for me (my waypoint has been moved). The noises did not appear to be associated with any hideout decorations. I did not test if they were influenced by my town of origin (which could account for the difference between leagues).

Edit for 3.17.0:
I am getting a loud crackling Bonfire sound effect overlapping my Waypoint sound effect in Acts 3 and 8 towns (centered on Sarn Encampment waypoint).

Initially I did not hear it in hideout, but testing a second character incurred the sound effect in hideout as well -- it was again focused on the default waypoint location of my Cartographer hideout (even though the waypoint is no longer positioned there).

Returning to my game again after posting the above, I now have both a bonfire and the water background sound effect from Highgate appearing in my hideout, with slightly different focal points.
