Double damage and ignite

does it work with ignite ? POB says it does nothing,but it increase Average damage so that does not make sense.

By itself, focus does nothing. What affix do you have on gear related to focus?

IIRC double damage is applied as final modifier, it doesn't apply to base damage from which is Ignite derived.

The split between hit damage and ailments was one of the worst things they ever did. Now nothing makes sense.

Double and triple damage do nothing to damage over time (ailment or cold DOTs).

why nowhere is said that or even hinted,that should be clearly indicated. here i'm sitting it dont understand what the actual F. this is a huge bait. there should be a disclamer under DD "do not work with Damaging ailments at all"

The devs made their own esoteric jargon for the game's tooltips and expect that to be enough to explain to players how stuff works. Naturally this causes all sorts of traps since it's rarely intuitive unless you're already super familiar with the game.
