what do u think about Vicious Projectiles Support or Elemental Damage with Attacks Support?

alright so oni goroshi has pretty large base crit, so you just grab whatever crit nodes you have around ranger and you should be able to reach a decent crit chance. use a diamond flask which you will receive from an act 5 quest iirc.

for links i would try to first and foremost convert as much of the dmg as possible, so get the cold conversion from the cold mastery and possibly fire conversion from fire mastery? its tough to convert a purely physical attack without access to trade

but the benefit of having the majority of your dmg being elemental is that it will scale better off elemental damage with attacks, which you probably want to use. you could maybe use physical to lightning in there but the dmg bonus from the gem itself is not gonna be great considering oni already has a ton of phys as extra from the buff

so run something like splitting steel - elemental damage with attacks - vicious proj - crit dmg probably, but after this im uncertain about whats best

options are fire penetration (in this case you wanna try to convert as much as possible to fire), faster attacks (this is usually not a very good support but in ssf your options dont look amazing), crit strike chance, lifetap

the best way to answer these questions is to use pob and just see which gem will preform best with a given tree, its really hard to gauge whats gonna be best otherwise

you do probably want some form of pierce with this skill tho, but you can just grab one small pierce node from the pierce cluster to the right of ranger start, as opposed to using a very weak gem for pierce

Life leech works fine with ele damage (just make sure you are getting attack leech, not physical attack leech, so that leech wheel you took doesn't actually work)

Early on, run vitality and not Vaal Pact. Only switch when your HP gets high enough that vitality's flat is worse.

This tree puts you right next to Point Blank. You will want to get this as you start fighting map bosses (and make sure you stand right in their face when you fight them).
