double corrupt awakened gem?

hi,
I have a level 4 awakened gem, and a temple of Alva with gem corruption I was wondering if the odds of getting a level 5 gem were better than with a single corruption (orb of corruption) TY Last bumped on Jan 16, 2022, 9:03:24 AM

wait until its level 5 then double gem corrupt for chance at a 6/23 |

Why would you ever corrupt a level 4 gem? An uncorrpted L4 us likely as valuable as a corrupted L5. If you do that a lvel upgrade, then you just sacrificed a L6 gem...

The chances to hit +1 gem level with Alva temple are double (double-corrupt gem).

You get 2 of the 4 possibilities: level change, quality change, vaal gem change, no change. You can't get 2 of the same thing (so no +2 level gems), so it just gives another chance to hit level change if you got one of the others.
