Why Yugul + > 50% reduced reflect on ring does not work anymore?

tried tested and removed all my gems / items which and still reflect is there. cannot do challenge which involves atziri because she has INHERENT REFLECT.. please help!

If you have Immunity to reflect, or 100% Reduced Reflected Damage Taken, Atziri won't reflect any damage.

A common misconception, however, lies in "if I have 100% Reduced Reflect it's as if I have immunity". Do remember that "Reduced Reflect Damage Taken" is a sub-category of "Reduced Damage Taken" and, therefore, can be countered by "Increase Damage Taken" modifiers.

In other words, if your character has 100% Reduced Reflect but either:

> they are Shocked (which Increases Damage Taken)
> is wearing Abyssus/Replica Abyssus, The Beast Fur Shawl or any other Unique item that has a +x% Increase Damage Taken
> Has Rite of Ruin or Ascendant Berserker allocated in their Ascendancy Tree, which will increase their damage taken

You will have to account for that extra damage taken. For example, if you wear an Abyssus, you will need a 140% Reduced Reflected Physical Damage Taken in order to take on Atziri.

If the argument is "Atziri has 2% Reflect on all her form and that's unfair", I'll bite and say many times in leagues I found myself barred from killing Atziri exactly because of this. Nowadays, however, Passive tree and Yugul combined makes easy to reach 100%, and Tempest Shield now grants you Shock immunity for the occasional Storm Call hit you may take in her battle. I am still miffed, however, that I may need to adjust specifically for her fight, even if it is something as little as changing your Lesser Pantheon

The only time I've ever had trouble with her reflect was when using spectral shield throw, since I couldn't prevent it from hitting the mirror double.

The base 2% reflect isn't that much. Life leech/energy leech should easily overpower it unless your damage is absurd enough to one shot her (and also you). In which case... hold back a little bit.

Thanks Maxtrux - that does makes sense, I have Yugul + -50% ring total 100% reduced reflected. I do have Rite of Ruin and Aspect of Carnage (10% increased damage taken). However the thing is - I respecced out of them and checked all my items pretty sure I dont have increased damage taken anymore. Yet Im still insta glib to reflect! and yes even at atziri 2% its one shot dead if i touch her... frankly this just sucks balls.

Could it be because she also reflects curses and you have a vulnerability curse on hit on your ring?

not sure exactly where was causing this - in the end i took physical mastery -60% for a total of yugul + ring 160% reduced reflected. tested with reflect map and working now..
