support gems

hello , is the support gems supposed to be the same color as the skill gems for them to work ? or it works on any skill gems thank you

no color hasn't got ANYTHING to do with what support gems can be used with a skill gem. The "tags" on the skill / support gems is what is important !!

and the tags has to match with the skills of the skill gem?
or it also will work anyway ?
what i mean is are there conditions for the support gems to work ?
thank u for help but i just replaced a support gem with another and i didn't notice any changes with the new one .

You need to be specific. What skill are you using. What support gems are you using? etc etc etc

i am using Molten Strike i found a Added Fire Damage gem and used it with it it raised my fire damage rate , then i removed it and changed the color of the socket and used Vicious Projectiles , but i didn't notice any changes and i don't understand how the support gem works or not, dose it has to match the gem skill ?

Molten Strike is a bit complicated, because it has 2 separate parts. It has a melee attack and a projectile attack. Tooltip only shows you the melee attack stats. That's why added fire will affect your tooltip DPS, but Vicious Projectiles won't since that doesn't apply to melee damage.

that is correct, yes. because the tooltips in game are vague at best, or at worst actually wrong.

if you have a minion skill, you will see the tooltip show NO damage at all. itll show how quickly YOU can cast it, and *maybe* the minions hp, but maybe not.

and can 2 support gems work on one skill gem ? if there was 3 sockets

As long as they are the correct type of support, then a skill gem can be supported by as many as you have linked sockets. So, a 6 link armour or weapon can have one skill gem with five supports.
