Help -> Empower + Minions? How much damage?

Lest say I’m using my last gem on my 6l skeleton setup and I’m using predator, my skeletons are only lvl 26, would it better better to put in Empower to raise level up to 29?

empower is usually the best support for minions, it raises both damage and life, and in some cases you cant even get an extra minion etc..
but dude, ever tried to use google or poe wiki/db? You keep on asking basic questions, that have been answered and described thousands times. It would be easier for you too because you would have your answer straight away instead of waiting for someone to answer it.. He's right about PoB. Any question of what is more damage is answered by using PoB. If you learned to help yourself in PoB than you dont have to keep making threads.

PoB is not always accurate for minions.
Skeletons gain a bit over 11% more base damage per level, UP TO LEVEL 30. After level 30 it is greatly diminished. If you have the skeletons in a +1 gems chest, a level 4 empower gives 4 levels, taking your level 26 skels to level 30, the sweet spot! Going from 26 to 30 would give the skeletons 1.11 ^4 -1 = 51.8% MORE base damage. Note, this does not increase any flat damage you have added to your skeletons, so the final damage of your skels may not go up that much. If you do not have a +1 gems chest, then 3 levels gives 1.11^3-1 = 36.7% more base damage, comparable to other support gems IF you have no flat damage added to skels. Also, extra levels gives skeletons more life, accuracy, evasion and armor. It's an all around win for minions, to get them to level 30. P.S. PoB will usually be pretty accurate. Ill talk Odif's word that sometimes it isnt for minions. And dont be so offended by our posts. We want you to be able to help yourself in the future instead of constantly having to ask.

Empower is particularly useful in crafted 2H weapons with +2 levels to support gems. Just pay attention to the difference between a L3 Empower and L4. There is a significant difference in potential at a very steep cost. There very well might be several L20 gems better than a L3 but worse than a L4.
