Add filters for item mods in inventory
|
It just struck me that the biggest issue for me in this game is being able to determine if the newly found item is good or not for my build. There are lots of mods, most of them are completely useless for certain builds. So it would be much easier to find an upgrade if I could:
- grab the rare from the ground - identify it - see only mods which are beneficial for my build - toss it or keep it after much quicker decision How this could work: - build creators could supply the filters with the guides - in options, you select mod filter(s) which you want (separate thing from the loot filter) - when hovering over the item, it only shows the mods as specified on the filter - to show if there are free affixes, add "2 open prefixes, 1 open suffix" or "1 hidden suffix" line after the mods - pressing alt shows the item in full glory as it is currently This has some tradeoffs: 1. doesn't help with looking for items for other characters 2. doesn't encourage that much experimentation 3. doesn't allow to find good generally-tradable items (derivative of 1.) but would be great for the "I can't be bothered with making more than 1 char per league and following a build in semi-ssf way" crowd which I'm part of. This would widen the gap between "filthy casuals" and "true hardcore players" but I think it would significantly improve the QoL for the first group and anyone with aspirations to join the latter will disable this filtering at some point. Think of it as support wheels while learning to ride a bike. Also, having this in trade would be amazing, but I'm betting it would be too much. ;) Last edited by tehKaiN#1187 on Dec 9, 2021, 3:31:54 AM Last bumped on Dec 9, 2021, 3:29:24 AM
