Borderless Windowed Mode
|
Dear GGG,
As someone who has 2 monitors but also alt-tabs a lot in general to conversate with others through skype etc. I ask you, create a proper borderless windowed mode please. ~Larhf ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Seem weak so the proud enemy gets overconfident, then crush him. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Last edited by Larhf#5775 on May 15, 2012, 2:14:59 PM

I think I have to second this. I do not have two monitors, but I do alt+tab a lot. Borderless windowed mode would be awesome.

Agreed, borderless fullscreen please!

" xDD I support borderless windowed mode as well! Games were better when devs didn't listen to player feedback.

Yes! I agree, I normally use dual monitors, but have been disabling my second while playing (not that big of deal) but it would be nice.

+1
This feature should be standard for all games in the modern era imo. |

It's not really borderless, but since the game window can be any resolution, I just make it windowed and press the maximize button. It works well enough for me until(if) they implement borderless-windowed.

+1 as well, from a single monitor user
The alt-tab speed difference between regular D3D fullscreen and a fullscreen borderless window is just too big to ignore. Once you get used to it in one game it kinda makes you sad when you encounter a new one not having this feature... |

I agree completely. +1 Support Gem.

In theory it shouldn't be too hard to do. I say this because there are AutoIt / AutoHotKey scripts floating around that remove the window borders and titlbar when you press a certain key combo.
However with those scripts you can't resize because the game doesn't recognize it (usually) and the content is slightly scaled. So you do get the borderless window, but there is a small gap around, otherwise what you'll get is the window contents scaled to the full screen, which is not good. I think the reason it happens is the game does not actually receive a window resize event. Some info here: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Borderless_Fullscreen_Windowed If that matters I have personally never noticed a performance hit whether fullscreen or window, with and without the borderless.
