Do rare hideout spawn on fixed or random location ?

I'm ran 100 primodial pools no luck , I always skip boss area . So I just want to confirmed that hideout won't spawn on boss area ?

I got it in about 10 or 11 maps, it did not spawn in the boss area, it was in a corner.

I have read some things and I have a theory or two of my own since I've hunted most hideouts and am only missing 1 (as of now). But first let me tell you that Primordial Pools doesn't have a hideout. You want to be running Primordial Blocks for that rare hideout or maybe that was just a typo.
Blocks map hideout is super rare from what I've gathered and from the people I've talked to. 1-in-500 (or worse) seems to be what people have said. I could tell you I've ran more than 500 maps to get the Sunken Hideout. It took me about 430 Moon Temple maps to find that Nocturnal hideout. Haunted Mansion pops up extremely often, by comparison, and I've given that one away a dozen times or more by now. Never have I heard a hideout spawning in a boss room. Hideouts are always on the edge of the map and in some maps it's usually on the bottom/bottom-right or bottom-left corner of the map (like Moon Temple). I do remember finding the glacier hideout near the boss area in Iceberg, however. Here's a quick MSPaint from what I've observed in Moon Temple. Boss Room spawns in one of two areas and at the opposite side of the map where the hideout would spawn. So, you could theoretically just run half of the edge of that map and then bail out if you wanted to speed up the hunt a little bit. Obviously, you'll be burning maps but Moon Temple is a t:6 map this patch so they're cheap and easy to go through.

You can safely skip the boss area if you just spam the primordial blocks map. The hideout spawn on the platforms on the way to the boss area. I got it like 2 or 3 weeks ago, it was on a platform near the one where you enter the map. I don't remember where exactly, it was very late night when saw the hideout icon on the map.

I never saw a HO entrance in boss arena, and got quite a few hideouts.

Hideouts cannot spawn in boss rooms as I know (found all, some several times, never in boss room).
As for the primeval, it always spawns on the edge of the map, with a side stairs to the entrance. So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0. All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this. |

first of all. Hoppefully you Primordial Blocks, and not Pools :-)
I was lucky, I found this HO in around 10 maps. The same with Brutal HO (from Tower) Aboreal HO (from Terrace) took me around 600 maps...so I just hate the map now :-) a month ago I got the last on my list..Celestial HO (from shaper)..took me around 100 tries I've tracked all my progression in a Excel shet, but deleted it after I have found the last one :-) So now I await new secret 'free' HO :-) |
