Mageblood what do I need to know?

So since mageblood reached 400 ex almost ( except the bricked ones), which means I will not reach 400 ex by the end of the league sitting only at 42 right now, I was thinking of gambling into ancient orbs all the ex ...

What do I need to know to hit mageblood ?

Does the Ilevel of the item matters ?
Should be a specific belt or any unique belt will do?

Anything else that might help do this gamble correctly is highly valuable since I never did it before.

Thanks

If you could chance one reliably for less than 400 ex of currency, then the price of Mageblood would decrease to approximately the break even point of chancing it.

So in short, don't waste your time.

Ancient Orbs reroll within the item class of the original item, which means any belt would do. Unlike a Chance Orb which would require a Heavy Belt be used.

Item level is not a consideration for either Chancing or Ancient Orbs.

Sure, you might be that one in a million and get lucky, but I doubt it.

And even if you do get lucky, GGG will just nerf the item in the next league patch anyway :)
I did waste my time and I didn't get it :))...Not even a hh :D...But yeah well it's in the gamble, you can get more from less or lose everything from nothing...

Next league maybe, if it doesn't get nerfed to ground,

highly doubt they will nerf a chase item that is actually rather balanced in comparison to other chase uniques(say... HH)
I think it's like lottery: with 1 ticket you have same chance of winning as with 100 tickets.

Many have tried similar gambles, but very few won. Otherwise the market would be full of <100ex Magebloods (eg. get the belt, sell it for 100 ex, invest 40ex in currency to get another, and keep the 60ex profit).

The ancient orb chance is "weighted" (eg. you can get 1000 times each belt before getting a Headhunter or Mageblood), and item level is not relevant. You can test this by ancient orbing a lvl 1 belt.

In first post you've asked if item level is relevant for ancient orbing a Mageblood. You're welcome!

I would suggest Gwennen gamble. I got one that way and it cost me around 35ex (buying Astragalis and Druid logbooks). Zen_M has nice guide on YT.
