Mana issue
I'm in the Scourge league at level 82 with Champion and running into some difficulties with mana. I was running a few skills that seemed to make sense and I had to use my #5 key a lot to refill the mana but foolish me decided to try to go with different skills at lvl 82 (Grace and/or Determination). I was following a build and heard the Grace and Determination were awesome in this league and I wanted to incorporate at least one. I tried playing around in-game with the tree which may have messed it up even more.
What I was wondering because I think I'm going to start a new character is the left side of the tree better for mana issues? Or am I going about it the wrong way? Who do you recommend for a mid attack speed melee character? Last bumped on Nov 24, 2021, 12:55:07 PM

your character has more than mana issues.
NINE of the ten items you are wearing are unique. ONLY ONE of them has +life. you have no utility flasks. you have used *TWELVE* passive points to get to the righteous decree node. physical attack characters have the *easiest* time in the entire game with mana. because any bit of mana leech solves all of your mana problems. you could either: spend 3 additional points (5 points total) pathing to the .4%life+mana leech small node by vitality void. get mana leech on a rare glove/ring (and other mods) get a jewel with mana leech (and other mods) get rings with -7 mana cost mod (works for some builds, not all) |

Ok, ok take it easy...
I know it's quite evident I'm a noob at this game but i really like it and hopefully someday i'll get it. Thanks for the advice. |

we all started there (or close)
theres lot of things your character can do to improve. in this game (unlike, say, the Diablo games), uniques are NOT the 'end all be all'. instead, most of your gear should be rare, with a couple uniques for specific reasons. (build around items). the reason for this is, generally, life and resists (uniques generally have low/no life or resist). as i said, you have ONE piece of gear with +life on it. at 82, a life based character should have about 5,000 life. im going to bet your character has.... under 3,000. Item Rarity is another 'trap' that new players fall into. sure, it makes rare items drop more often, but it has NO affect on currency drops. Replacing your gloves, boots, and neck with rares would be something i would attempt to do immediately. |

Lol, my life is actually 3792 but close to 3000. I tried to refrain from the unique items but i was hurting for elem resist and that brought me the quickest result.

I am changing gears and going with a Templar, dominating blow. Any thoughts on what I should focus on. I think I’ve started out well but don’t want to get too far off course.

you can still probably rescue that character. respec all those points you traveled for righteous decree, its fine, just refund them with the respec points you should have from quests etc and use regret orbs for the rest if u run out.
then look just to the right of the duelist start, a node called 'spirit void', search for it in the passive trees search box if u cant see it. that node will leech mana back from the damage you do, often builds dont need to take the actual full 3 points to get spirit void, simply the first node that gives 0.4% of damage leeched as life and mana will sustain an attack based build like this. try it out, as thor said a build that can utilise mana leech like this will have an easier time fuelling its skills than pretty much anyone else. having reduced cost of skills, increased mana/regen, all these things u see around the templar etc, its actually a lot more investment heavy to try and fuel ur skills like that than simply leeching. its one advantage attackers have over spell casters. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
