What would make them...unique?
In a sense, all skillgems are unique, as the properties are always the same for the gems and can't roll odd properties like items can. |

Every gem that is just available as a drop is basically a "unique" since there's no way of getting them besides the drop.
Especially since gems can't be crafted while unique items can. |
