Fire mastery, underwhelming compared to cold/lightning

The extra fire -5% exposure is ok if not inquisitor

Recover 2% life on ignite. Feels like a leveling node, From maps onwards you will play either an ignite build with 100% chance or mostly crit for non ignite builds. So its pretty much useless since you will be limited by ignite durations for the most part. Not to mention theres 2% straight up regen nodes/enchants etc with a permanent effect.


40% conversion. If you are converting phys to fire, you will also take magmatic strikes 99% of cases and can simply take avatar of fire for 1 over the mastery. So mostly useless.


20% chance to cover in ash when hit, inconsistent on anything that matters. Pretty much useless.

1% fire per str, decent enough if stacking str, useless for anything not stacking str. You need atleast 600+ for this to even compete with other bad increased damage nodes or jewels for investment vs lost suffixes.

20% Dot Multi and -30res speaks for itself, decent for ignite builds.

All in all fire mastery offers very little for anything but a pure ignite build.


Now compare the above to cold having 15% curse effect on chilled enemies scaling to all curses. 25% frenzy charge generation.

Lightning having 60% shock, non crits lucky, +1 chain on non proj.

Sorry but the fire masteries are just terrible in comparison.
