Can not use Horticrafting's "Change a stack of Essences into a different type of the same tier"

Tried with a 9x stack of 'Deafening Essence of Torment'
Got a red popup warning saying 'you cannot use this crafting option in a Hideout"

Used in the HO, not in the grove, obviously - why allow me to save it if it does not work ?

Several Horticrafting options work this way. It's a bit jarring, but it's not a bug.

Horticrafting options that create new items, or modify existing items, don't put the items into your inventory or stash directly. Instead, they dump the new items on the ground next to the Horticulture station, and you pick them up. But objects on the ground can't exist in a hideout. (That's why you get prompted to destroy items when you try to drop them there.) So any of these Horticrafting items that create/modify items have to be used in an actual Sacred Grove (where objects can exist on the ground), not in a hideout.

And it allows you to save options that create/modify items because you can use saved options from the Horticulture station inside the Sacred Grove itself. It's a bit more inconvenient, since you have to find a Sacred Grove rather than just using the station in your hideout; but it lets these options work.

The error message would be greatly improved if changed from
"you can not ... " -> "You need to use this from the sacred grove" imo

Error messages are hard. I say that as someone who has written a fair number of error messages. :)

"You need to use this crafting option from the Sacred Grove" could easily be misinterpreted as "You need to use this crafting option as soon as you get it", since some people will inevitably misunderstand how the Horticulture Station in the Sacred Grove differs from the one in the hideout.

"You need to use this crafting option at the Horticulture Station in the Sacred Grove" is accurate (at the point that you're seeing the message), but rather wordy and potentially misleading as well (will it teach players that they have to save these sorts of options before using them?)

"You need to use this crafting option from the Sacred Grove, either as soon as you get it or from the Horticulture Station there" is complete, but way too wordy.

"You cannot use this crafting option in a Hideout" doesn't show people how to solve the problem, which is bad; but it's short and clear about what the problem is, which is good.

If used from within the HO -> "This craft is only available from within the sacred grove"

OR

Use the in-game help section with a detailed explanation specifically about this, and mark relevant crafting options with a flag/note/whatever

But we're dreaming now =) i agree wording error messages can be hard, hopefully it'll get some love in the future.
