I vendored The Squire...

After a week of grinding as hard as I have any other league, I only had 2 ex in my inventory and chump change. The raw currency drops were abysmal and I've done hundreds of alch chiseled conquer red maps with like 30 raw chaos drops.

Hadn't played in a couple leagues and last night the Elegant Round Shield dropped for me and it just looked like another useless shield and I vendored it. No ting from my trade filter. I didn't even realize this until I watched an empy highlight vid about finding the The Squire later at night. It was the exact design and elegant unique shield I found. Randomly searched what it was and its the only unique Elegant Round Shield, the 50 ex shield I just threw a way that would of propelled me into the league.

In a fit of rage after farming for garbage for so long in this trash league, I deleted my character and uninstalled POE. See you next league, thanks for listening.

there are, infact, 2 unique Elegant Round Shields.

one is the squire, worth a pile.
the other is The Oppressor, which is worthless.

your filter didnt go off because it cant tell the difference when the item is unid.

What filter do you use? Most filters will show something extra when the base for a high end unique drops. Examples like leather belt and now heavy belt and elegant round shields.

But a filter can't know which of the unique it is before it's identified.

Anyhow, 50ex in your bank wouldn't have change your mind about the league, would it?
