Golem interaction cwdt

I've linked Cast When Damage Taken with Summon Ice Golem. When I hover over the two gems, they show to be linked. When I put Summon Ice Golem on my bar, it's grayed out showing that it cannot be self-cast. It's in position two in the four link.
For some reason, I never see the Golem active. It costs 36 mana and I have 74 and an enduring mana flask that I keep up along with a bit of mana leech. I'm not sure why the golem isn't getting summoned. It's possible that it gets summoned and just dies because it's only level 4... but I'd still expect to see it hanging around after I cleared a pack of white mobs or something. Does cwdt still work with summoning golems? Where there's one they're bound to divide it right in two. Last bumped on Oct 30, 2021, 12:58:32 PM

cwdt says it has 250% mana cost multiplier
