Can The Squire shield drop/ be chanced in standard?

Need to know before I spend any more currency on chance/scouring orbs :)

There would have been some squires around standard market if that would have been a think...

Think it will become part of the pool once scourge is done for...which in my view it will be in the next week or so =))).

You can always go into hardcore, get the insanely hard to get shield, and rip it to standard if you want it early.

I'm sure people are already trying to do that.

Yes, it can drop/be chanced in Standard. Your odds of either happening are probably really, really bad though. Even in league, where significantly more people play, there are only 14 of them listed for trade at the moment.

Someone told me that Headhunter is ~1/5k ancient orbs now (used to be ~1/350 before they made HH a global drop.) Chancing a HH used to be like ~1/11k chances before this change. If the rates are equivalent you might be looking at a 1/150k chance/scour now. Totally not worth it.

Of course if you want a shaped Squire you don't have a choice. I see shaped Oppressors on trade so some people have already tried.

I blew about 1k Ancient Orbs trying for Mageblood across league and standard and didn't even see Ryslatha let alone HH or Mageblood. Oof.

Mageblood is another unique GGG added to try and fix the flask piano, as they failed with the orbs and the "use the flask if something" ... Usually if this unique get's popular the mechanic is added via another bullshit gem or system.

The squire on the other hand, should have been something fun to temper some builds...But it's so rare that it doesn't even justify the added value..

As long as people buy tabs and MTX for this bullshit the chain will go on :), since no one at GGG is loosing their job for designing bull after bull
