First time doing Solo Self Found - but

This league seems to be a really bad league to do it. The drops early on is just lackluster. Is this just because I am new to SSF and don't know how to do it properly, or is it actually a really really bad league for ssf. It feels like the focus of the entire league was on group play, and aspirational content.

It is the latter option, a very bad league for SSF. 4 link items are hard to come by compared to other leagues and the scourge RNG implicit might even ruin your stuff. With the huge increase of the currency types, the basic currencies used to make 4 socket and 4 link gear is just harder, since the chance to drop the currency is the same but the choice is much wider now. I have seen very high level HCSSF characters in very bad equipment. This is once again compared to other leagues.

Its not fantastic for SSF, at least the item part of Scourge - Scourged Maps are pretty good. All the other tools that make SSF a little easier are still in the game though (Heist, Harvest, Div Cards, vendor recipes, etc.)

If you fail at SSF, its not because of Scourge is what I am trying to say.

Yup, I played ssf last 3 leagues and had a blast. This league I migrated to trade after a few days just because the league mechanic synergizes well with trade and I wanted to try out the new uber content added in 3.16.

btw ssf in any league feels a bit slow for the first couple of weeks, until you're able to get better gear and get all the atlas passives, etc. That's the part where you should see a significant improvement this patch, getting a8 should be a lot faster even in ssf.

I'm playing ssf since incursion or so and can't say that current league is THAT awful; the standard part of the game is still here with all its components - you can still run some heist for that free 5-link with 6 sockets, some cluster jewels and assorted pixel currency. For early 5-6 socket items you can check for these strongboxes with "contained items have X additional sockets" and so on, plus these expedition guys can supply you with very decent items even while still in acts.

I dont know I had a 6L at lvl 62. Shit but still.


Drops are good inside scourges with juiced maps. Not much else.

What sucks is Harvests tier 4s will never appear. So reforging only. 100% luck crafting.
