CPU spikes every couple seconds - causing constant stutters in gameplay.

Hi all,

I've attached a screenshot of how my cpu is reacting to just having the game open. On the main menu, character select screen and ingame I get the same thing. CPU shows 3 or 4ms and every couple of seconds it spikes to over 100ms and disrupts gameplay. Any tips on what might be causing this? I've tried every combination of every setting possible in the ingame options with no luck.

Thanks

dxDiag would be a good start.
Along with it, get something like gpu-z and monitor cpu power temps. A dying AIO pump can cause constant temp spikes thus throttles.
Also, if you upgraded to windows 11, all i can say is good luck with that one...for now.
No rest for the wicked.
Can you tell me how to provide you a dxdiag? I have run dxdiag and click save all information. Do you want me to copy and paste this huge text into a reply on here?

PC temps are fine, I regularly clean the dust out and monitor the temps, no overheating right now.
I am having the same erratic behaviour with my CPU spiking too.

I have a Ryzen 9 5800X
So I found a workable solution for my instance, I downloaded Windows 472.33 Vulkan Beta Driver at https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver as I have a better experience with Vulkan over DX11.

I went through the process of finding the issue through changing various in-game settings, changing control panel settings, and messing with the production_Config.ini file.

Hope this works for you.

You can post that dxdiag 2 ways;
1. (preferred method) copy/paste into pastebin and post the link here using the URL tag
2. copy/paste here using the Spoiler tag

I've been having a different issue with Vulkan sending me back to login every other map or so;

I DL'd and installed your driver recommendation and seems to be working now, so a big THANK YOU! I had no idea about that driver hehehe.

Tho it does appear it is about time to upgrade my graphics card from gtx 950.

A BLATANT LIE by the HMFIIC.
Perhaps GGG should consider a leadership change.
