What happened to the wiki?

I was interested in maybe returning this league to play again, so as per usual i went to the wiki to research what build i was going to use.

Only to find an atrocious mess of a site that constantly returns me back to the same pages when trying to look up information or uses terrible off screen graphs that bog the page down.

Each page also includes a million ads at the bottom instead of related information that use to be so helpful what gives?

There is no up to date wiki currently

The other wiki is now owned by Fandom (who recently acquired Gamepedia), which has begun intervening to further monetize all its wikis - resulting in them turning to shit. This is a problem being currently being faced by games everywhere, not just PoE. That's why some community members recently took it upon themselves to set up a new wiki that's free of Fandoms' grubby paws.

Poewiki.net also has a nice Chrome browser addon that seems to force searches to avoid the fandom wiki in favor of poewiki.net.

I was relieved to not have to deal with the Fandom wiki since that is now about as visually appealing as a car wreck.

not the point, fandom wikis are now garbage and should be replaced or avoided

It's still cluttered with useless feature baggage and visual gaps where ads have in fact reserved element space, but not displayed. Depending on your browser and adblockers, YMMV.

That and being out of date in an uneven way ranging from one to three leagues behind, makes it really subpar.
