Its not too late for a last minute buff to Eldritch Knowledge.

With the updates to jewel affixes and the skill tree Eldritch Knowledge is outclassed in every jewel slot by simple rare jewels.

This is not the true Eldritch Knowledge that we know and love, the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Screaming Madness uttered by the Sons of Azazoth.
