lucky and unlucky damage

Hello all, once upon a time I heard that with a critical hit, damage with a value, for example, from 1 to 200, will pass a luck check. and it is better to have a lot of critical hit chances, for example, for lightning damage and belt Ryslatha's Coil. Is it so?

Not really sure what you are talking about, the only thing that was lucky about Critical Hit Chance was in older Diamond Flasks, which have been nerfed to the ground in the last patch.

The chance to land a critical hit are clearly stated in the character tab. Since a certain patch it is now possible to reach 100% critChance as opposed to the hard-capped 95% from 2-3 years ago (justified as a D&D-esque "there is always a chance of a D1" back in the days"). Having 100% critChance in the char recap means that your hits will always be Critical Strikes (unless you allocate Resolute Technique or any other item that does not allow you to deal critical strike).

So far there are no mobs or other modifiers that allow you to completely avoid only critical strikes (there are, however, modifiers that reduce the extra damage taken from a critical strike, or that makes you take no damage or give an unlucky roll to these damage)

Ryslatha and Lightning Damage's pros are that by having, or raising, the maximum hit damage you will have more chances to deal a surprisingly strong base damage, which can spike up in case of critical hits. So, yes, there can be good chances that a critical hit with a Ryslatha or Lightning Damage can turn into an oneshot. Otherwise, well... before the CritMultiplier revamp for DoTs, the "Crit or Sh*t" was a basic rule of PoE
there is no hidden luck check for crits
what however is true is that attack crits need to beat 2 evasion checks, one to hit, and one to confirm the crit (or it will be a non crit)

Oh right, that. There was something bogging behind my mind about a "double check on crit", but could not find anything on wikia's Critial Strike page, and dubbed it as my mind acting again. Turns out this information is only in the Evasion page on wikia.

Anyway yes, Evasion can help avoid critical strikes from attacks and projectile attacks. Of course, this can be countered with a high enough accuracy. Also, since the "crit-or-not-crit" roll follows a succesfull "hit-or-miss" from evasion, I believe Evasion can still come in handy against Hits Cannot Be Evaded. Not sure, though
