Damage effectiveness and damage added as
Does damage effectiveness affect "damage added as" modifiers, like Ngamahu Chieftain's passive or Added Fire Damage support? Can't find reliable info on this.

well it's a multiplier to the base damage and those added damages are based of the multiplied base damage... so I think it works.

If you have an added damage effectiveness of 150% and a mod of 10-20 additional damage, then the skill would receive 15-30 additional damage. It balances fast vs slow hitting abilities.

" Ah yes, you're correct there. Thank you. As Sadaukar mentioned, there is no double dipping. Any added damage you have is multiplied by the damage effectiveness then the extras are applied. The "extra" modifier itself has no correlation with damage effectiveness. |

if those 100 physical damage are after the calculation of the effectiveness, yes.
let's say ur weapon has 100 base damage, it means those 100 damage get multiplied by damage effectiveness first and then the 100% added damage is calculated after. For example 500% effectiveness means 500 physical damage after calc, so it adds another 500 fire damage. But if u have 100 physical damage as ur tooltip damage, which indicates it's after the effectiveness, it only gets added 100 fire damage. "A quick example: you have 80-100 base physical damage from a weapon or skill and 10-20 added physical damage from gear. Your skill has 100% of base damage and 200% added damage effectiveness (for the sake of presentation, usually they are equal). 10-20 will be doubled to 20-40 cuz of added damage effectiveness. Base and added sums up to 100-140. Conversion applies to that value also called as base damage, you'll get 100-140 extra fire damage in addition to 100-140 phys damage. |
